Over the last week we’ve been discussing the demand for SaaS Data Escrow based on a survey of 400 senior IT decision makers. In this research we also investigated where companies want to keep a copy of their SaaS data.
The line between SaaS and cloud computing is increasingly blurred, but the link between the two is obvious and it’s of little surprise that organizations that are comfortable embracing SaaS are at ease with storing a copy of their SaaS data in the cloud.
Only 10 per cent of companies are looking to store their SaaS data copy in-house, while almost half cite a cloud infrastructure provider other than the one tied to the original SaaS vendor and a little over 40 per cent opting for multiple cloud providers for extra comfort.
